Network Security Engineer
Description:
nGuard has a long established, successful managed security services offering it provides to clients all over the United States. The position is for an information security engineer to perform the duties associated with maintaining the security of existing clients, deploying new client solutions, etc.
Job Purpose:
Perform the deployment, troubleshooting, incident analysis, maintenance, ongoing operations, associated with nGuard's Managed Security Services offering. Includes management of firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, security event logging, integrity monitoring, etc.
Required Degree:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information security, computer information systems, or related technical degree.
Duties:
* Perform the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly tasks associated with maintaining the security of our client's systems and networks.
* Staging and deploying new firewall, IPS and event logging solutions for deployment into client environments.
* Performing security event analysis, investigation and response associated with suspicious events.
* Working with clients to investigate security events, troubleshoot technical problems, etc.
* Providing monthly security summary reports to existing clients.
* Keeping abreast of emerging threats.
* Provide new clients with an orientation on nGuard portal access, opening security related calls, etc.
* Serving as part of an on call Incident Response team.
Candidate Selection:
We are looking for candidates from entry level (i.e. just graduated with no experience) up through 5 years experience. The salary will correspond directly with the level of applicable experience. Most importantly, we are looking for trainable, thorough, reliable engineers that enjoy being extremely technical.
General Skills/Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
* Advanced administration skills in at least one Operating System (preferably Windows or Linux).
* Excellent understanding of networking, networking protocols and network troubleshooting including TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, etc.
* Experience with administering any brand of firewall and/or IPS.
Soft Skills:
Must have excellent written and communication skills. A lot of communication is via email so grammar, punctuation, etc. must be exceptional.

Senior Account Executive
Responsibilities
Market, prospect and sell nGuard solutions to named accounts inside a defined sales territory.
Develop and maintain mastery of nGuard's solution set.
Maintain current and accurate account, contact and forecast data in nGuard's customer relationship management system.
Qualifications
Professional, articulate, organized and seasoned sales professional with a demonstrable track record of selling IT solutions.
Previous account contacts that will vouch for account management skills and professionalism is required.
Intense passion and drive to work with a group of veteran security professionals in the rapidly changing information security industry.
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Security or related disciplines a plus.
Specific sales experience in the information security field is a plus.
Professional Skills
Strong written and communication skills a must.
Prior experience in the IT consulting field a plus.
Senior Network Security Engineer
Description: nGuard has a long established, successful managed security services offering it provides to clients all over the United States. The position is for an senior security engineer to perform the duties associated with evolving managed nGuard solutions, pioneering new offerings, maintaining the security of existing clients, deploying new client solutions, etc.
Job Purpose: Perform the design, deployment, troubleshooting, incident analysis, maintenance, ongoing operations, associated with nGuard's Managed Security Services offering. Includes management of firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, security event logging, integrity monitoring, etc.
Duties:
* Assist with evolving our managed solutions by integrating new vendor solutions into our offerings.
* Be the escalation resource for difficult technical issues that the less experienced engineers require help with.
* Perform the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly tasks associated with maintaining the security of our client's systems and networks as needed/required.
* Staging and deploying new firewall, IPS and event logging solutions for deployment into client environments.
* Performing security event analysis, investigation and response associated with suspicious events.
* Working with clients to investigate security events, troubleshoot technical problems, etc.
* Providing monthly security summary reports to existing clients.
* Keeping abreast of emerging threats.

Candidate Selection: We are looking for experienced, senior technical resources with extensive, hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting and managing firewalls, IDS, IPS, SSL VPN, networks, SIEM, etc.

Technical Skills:
* Advanced administration skills in at least on Operation System (preferably Linux)
* Excellent understanding of networking, networking protocols and network troubleshooting including TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, TCP vs. UDP, etc.
* Experience with deployment and administration of any commercial brand of firewall, SSL VPN and IPS. Prefer experience with Cisco ASA firewall/IPS and McAfee IPS.
* Helpful Certifications: Cisco related security and/or network certifications, McAfee IPS certifications, CISSP, GIAC, CISSP, etc.
